Diagram showing the scene of the Kitty Genovese murder on March 13, 1964 in Kew Gardens, NY.
According to the March 27, 1964 New York Times, after stabbing Kitty for the first time on Austin Street, Moseley walked a short distance down Austin Street towards his car, and then returned to stab Kitty again as she was making her around the parking lot side of the 2 story Tudor building.  Notice that for the Times account to be true, Kitty would had to have walked toward her attacker who would have been visible to her.  That is not something a crime victim would be expected to do.
