This is the parking lot adjacent to the Kew Gardens Long Island Railroad Station on Austin Street as it appears today. The photographer is standing about where Kitty's attacker, Winston Moseley, was when she first saw him. After parking her car (in the spot between the white and red cars directly ahead), Kitty saw Moseley, became frightened and ran up Austin Street (away from the camera). Mowbray Place and the Mowbray Apartment House are offsceen to the left. The railroad station house is mostly offscreen to the right. In the background is a 2 story Tudor Building that figured prominently in the tragedy.
