Castle Court

"[Apartment houses] frame the straight slice of Metropolitan Avenue as it cuts through the neighborhood. Castle Court at 83-55 Lefferts Boulevard (between Metropolitan and 84th Avenues) sinuously frames the S-curve of the street, providing us with Tudor towers, turrets, details and a picturesque rounded corner at its southern end, demonstrating that architects once knew how to create streetscapes that were colorful, personable and unique."

Quote from: Barry Lewis, Kew Gardens: Urban Village in the Big City, p. 50 (Kew Gardens Council for Recreation and the Arts 1999).
