84th Avenue

This is 84th Avenue again.  In this picture, the photographer is standing on the north side of the avenue by 120th Street (then called Beech Street) pointing his camera east - back toward Brevoort Street from which the photographs on the last page were taken.  Most of the old houses built along this side of 84th Avenue are gone now, having given way to apartment buildings and multiple dwellings.  The house seen in the circa 1900 picture is one of the few still there today and is visible although partly obscured in the bottom photograph.
