At Union Turnpike

You are at Union Turnpike looking down Queens Boulevard toward Jamaica. In the top picture of some 70 years ago, there is a golf driving range where Borough Hall will one day sit, Queens Boulevard is a two lane road, and the Grand Central and Interborough Parkways do not yet exist. There are no high rises and no subway. Even the small "Crossroads" building at the end of the triangle is still to be built. Click on the bottom picture for a larger side by side view of these two scenes.
