The photograph to the right shows the Two Story Tudor Building adjacent to the Long Island Rail Road Station under construction c. 1925. If you view the sectional enlargements below you will see the ground floor corner space that went on to become the Bergen Family's pearl knitting business from 1948 to 1960, the Interlude Cafe, the Austin Book Shop and today's Bliss Cafe. Next to it is the hallway in which Kitty Genovese would be attacked almost 40 years later.
