The photographer is standing alongside the spot where Moseley had parked his car. As I read the Times account, this is as far away from the location of the first attack as Moseley would have walked. The first attack occurred about half a block ahead on the sidewalk abutting the left side of the 2 story Tudor building. The Times says that Moseley doubled back and stabbed Kitty again underneath the left hand green awning.
