Looking west on Austin Street. Before the first attack on Kitty, Winston Moseley parked his 1960 white Corvair in this space in front of the West Virginia Apartments. From his 6th floor window in that building, trial witness, Samuel Koshkin, saw Moseley run to his car after the first attack and back it west (offscreen to the right) down Austin Street. The Mowbray Apartments are directly behind the photographer. The Long Island Railroad parking lot is offscreen to the left.
