I am Thomas Winn, otherwise known as Captain William Lloyd, and to my friends who were real familiar with me...."Pop" Lloyd.  I was born in 1812 and I am now 77 years old.  Let me tell me about my life in this world.
I was once the Captain of my own ship, and sailed the seven seas as a pirate and buccaneer.  I was bold and savvy and no one could get past me.  I did some really bad things as a pirate, but will not admit to any.  I lived and toiled hard but alas the evil poison Rum was my ruin.  I lost everything.  I ended up in the port city of New York, alone and forgotten.
Mrs.  Hadley, a missionary converted me to the world of goodness.  At one of their meetings, there I was ... a filthy and ragged man ... and I asked if there was salvation for the wickedest man in New York.  They prayed with me and gave me shelter.  I became one of them and my evil ways were behind me.
