This is a picture of the the Kew Gardens Long Island Railroad Station in 1958, some 8 years after the disaster. Eastbound trains emerging from the overpasses at the west end of Kew Gardens enter the station area here. Off to the right is the Lefferts Boulevard overpass which sits astride the tracks. The collision occurred on the second track almost one third of a mile beyond the Lefferts Boulevard overpass. Click here to return to the main page.
