The photo shows Bill Lehman standing in front of a stylish Studebacker. Photographed by Alfred Karbe in 1948. Not only did the "Empty Lot" provide a short-cut from Talbot Street to Kew Gardens Road, but an undeveloped bit of land for children to explore.
