The Kew Gardens Country Club

Now the site of the Kew Gardens Cinema, the Kew Gardens Country Club stood here from 1916 to 1935.
"The Club served as the fledgling community's center, its members working to establish a school, proper lighting, sewers. ... Only after certain community needs had been filled did it become a social and golf club."
