84th Avenue

This is 84th Avenue as seen from 122nd Street (formerly, Willow Street). Here, the photographer has turned to his right and is facing west. The house in the left foreground is still there today. Notice the elevated sidewalk on the right side of the street in the top picture. In its early days, developers in Kew Gardens tried to keep to the contours of the land. That option appears to be no longer cost effective and developers now choose to simply level the terrain.
