As its name suggests, the Kew Forest School is located in Kew Forest on Union Turnpike between Kew Forest Lane and Austin Street. When the Interborough (Jackie Robinson) Parkway came through in the mid-30's, the steps leading up to the front entrance had to be removed and the entrance itself sealed up in order to to make room for the realigned sidewalk. Donald Trump is an alumnus (Trump's father, Fred, was on its board of trustees) as is actor, Hank Azaria. It was one of at least two private schools to serve the community, the other being the Queens School.
