83rd Avenue

83rd Avenue runs, in part, from Lefferts Boulevard to Metropolitan Avenue. It used to be called Richmond Hill Avenue or Richmond Hill Road, and crosses a hill that used to be called Richmond Hill. This view is from Lefferts Boulevard looking west down 83rd Avenue. The top picture postcard predates the Kew Corners Apartment House (built in 1925) which used to house Citibank. The red brick house [top picture - upper left] is still there.
