The Kew Forest
The long gone Kew Forest Apartments stood on Kew Forest Lane facing the Kew Forest School in (where else?) Kew Forest, at the corner of Union Turnpike one block west of Queens Boulevard at a time when that area was considered part of Kew Gardens. The building was distinctive in that each of its apartments had 6 rooms. I believe that the Kew Forest Apartments did not survive the widening of Union Turnpike in the early 1930's to accommodate construction of the Interboro Parkway, today known as the Jackie Robinson Parkway.
